Current status of Linux on Leo
[edit] Kernel
- linuxtogo kernel
based on google's android-msm-2.6.32 branch from android.kernel.org msm kernel tree. Google use it for the Passion. Does NOT work with MAGLDR, causes various crashes, stack dumps and other oddities.
git clone git://git.linuxtogo.org/home/groups/mobile-linux/kernel.git htc-msm-2.6.32
gitweb: http://git.linuxtogo.org/?p=groups/mobile-linux/kernel.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/htc-msm-2.6.32
- 'EVO' kernel
based on HTC EVO4G release tarball via http://developer.htc.com
git clone git://gitorious.org/linux-on-wince-htc/linux_on_wince_htc.git linux_on_wince_htc
web interface: http://gitorious.org/linux-on-wince-htc/linux_on_wince_htc
NOTE: several personal (letama, hastarin, rajko) clones of the linux_on_wince_htc branch exist on gitorious.
You can find automatically updated kernel image and kernel module builds from both kernel branches at LeoBuilds#Kernel
[edit] Bootloader
Currently HaRET is the only way to boot with the WinCE indirection.
Work is being done to allow direct booting. See Leo/Magldr
